    Interesting outlook on life

    Wednesday, July 25, 2007, 02:11 PM [General]

Recently I read this interesting outlook on life in a book by Jeffery Deaver.  "Most of our lives are an illusion - everything in our past is memory and everything in our future is imagination.  Those are both illusions - memories are unreliable and we just speculate about the future.  The only thing that is completely real is the one instant of the present - and that's constantly changing from imagination to a memory."

If a person were to remember this as they are bowling, it would help them realize that the only thing they have control over is this ball.  All previous balls delivered are memory and any future balls to be delivered are imagination.

    Attitude

    Friday, May 25, 2007, 06:10 PM [General]

The following story by an unknown author is about "Attitude" and impresses me as a way one should look at the game of bowling.

    Attitude

There once was a woman who woke up one morning, looked in the mirror, and noticed she had only three hairs on her head.  "Well," she said, "I think I'll braid my hair today."  So she did and she had a wonderful day.

The next day she woke up, looked in the mirror and saw that she had only two hairs on her head. "H-M-M," she said, "I think I'll part my hair down the middle today."  So she did and she had a grand day.

The next day she woke up, looked in the mirror and noticed that she had only one hair on her head.  "Well," she said, "today I'm going to wear my hair in a pony tail."  So she did and she had a fun, fun day.

The next day she woke up, looked in the mirror and noticed that there wasn't a single hair on her head.  "YEA!" she exclaimed, "I don't have to fix my hair today!"

    Attitude is everything.

I finally got to sit and read all ten frames you wrote. Very well said! There are soo many viewpoints you put down, I wanted to wait and read them all together and have time to really enjoy them. Very well done!
